BROWNIES IN A CONE | |
12 flat - bottomed ice cream cones 21 - 23 oz. box (family size) brownie mix 1 pkg. chocolate chips 6 tbsp. (33/4 stick) butter Candy sprinkles Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Place cones in muffin tins or on a baking sheet. Prepare brownie mix according to package directions. Spoon batter into cones, filling each 3/4 full. Bake 30 to 35 minutes or until tops are cracked and have risen above the rims of the cones. (A cake tester will not test clean.) Remove the cones and cool to room temperature. For topping, melt chocolate chips and butter in a double boiler over hot water, stirring until smooth. Dip the tops of the brownies, covering until the chocolate meets the rim of the cone. Stand cone upright and sprinkle candy sprinkles over each. Let stand at room temperature until chocolate hardens. Yields 12 cones. |
