GRANDMA'S WALNUT RAISIN CAKE | |
1 box or 2 1/2 c. raisins 1 heaping tsp. baking soda 3 eggs 1 c. sugar 2 tbsp. oil 2 1/2 c. sifted flour 2 tsp. mix of vanilla and butter nut flavoring 1 c. broken walnuts Soak raisins in 2 cups boiling water overnight in a large bowl. Add all the other ingredients after soaking. Mix thoroughly and bake in a buttered 13 x 9 inch pan for 1 hour at 350 degrees. Cut in squares. |
