PORK FRIED RICE | |
1 1/2 lbs. bacon, cut into bite-size pieces 2 to 3 pork steaks, cut into bite-size pieces 5 eggs, scrambled 1/2 clove garlic, minced 1 lb. frozen mixed vegetables 2 c. cooked rice (not instant, but Riceland) Soy sauce (enough to color dish) Place cut up meat in deep frying skillet or wok. Add garlic and mix well. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Cook until most of the fat is out of the bacon. Drain and return to pan. Add frozen vegetables and cook over low heat with lid on, stirring occasionally. This is the time to cook the rice. When rice is done, vegetables should be done. Add rice and previously scrambled eggs and mix well. Be sure you have turned heat off. Add soy sauce to color lightly. Then sit back and enjoy. This is an excellent dish for picky eaters and kids absolutely love it!! |
