RUSSIAN TEA CAKES 
1 c. soft butter
1/2 c. sifted confectioner's sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 c. finely chopped nuts

Mix first 3 ingredients together thoroughly. Sift together and stir in next 2 ingredients. Mix in last ingredients. Chill dough. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place 2 1/2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheet. Bake until set, not brown, about 10 minutes at 400 degrees. While still warm roll in confectioner's sugar. Cool. Roll in sugar again. Makes 4 dozen.
