SPRITZ COOKIES 
1 c. shortening, (oleo or butter)
3/4 c. sugar
1 egg
2 1/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
Dash of salt
1 tsp. almond extract

Cream shortening, adding sugar gradually. Add unbeaten egg, beat well. Add sifted dry ingredients and extract. Fill a mirro cookie press. Form cookies on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 375 degrees.

Yields about 5 dozen.
