CHATANOOGA CHEW CHEWS 
CRUST:

2 c. all purpose flour
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. real butter (no substitute)
1 c. chopped pecans

TOPPING:

1 c. real butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi sweet chocolate chips

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Mix flour, brown sugar and butter. Press into ungreased 9"x13" pan. Sprinkle pecans over unbaked crust.

For Topping: Melt 1 cup butter and brown sugar in saucepan. Bring to boil and boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Pour mixture over crust. Bake 10 to 15 minutes (or until entire surface bubbles. Remove from oven. Sprinkle on chocolate chips with spatula. Cool at least 5 hours. Cut into squares. Yield: 32 squares.
