OLD FASHIONED GINGER BREAD 
2 eggs
3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
3/4 c. molasses
3/4 c. shortening, melted
2 1/2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. ground ginger
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. boiling water

Beat eggs and sugar until light and fluffy. Add molasses and shortening. Mix well, sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and spices. Add to molasses mixture. Mix well. Stir in boiling water. Pour batter in greased and floured 13 x 9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
