BANANA CREAM PIE 
2 c. milk
1 c. cream
4 1/2 tbsp. flour
1 1/2 tbsp. cornstarch
3/4 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 egg yolks
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 bananas
Whipped topping
1 baked pie shell

Scald milk and cream. Combine flour, cornstarch, sugar and salt; mix. Add to milk and cook until thickened, stirring constantly (15 minutes). Stir small amount of mixture into beaten egg yolks; add yolks and cook a few minutes longer. Add vanilla. Slice bananas on bottom of pie shell and pour in filling. Spread with whipped topping and chill. Yield: 1 (10") pie.
