OVERNIGHT SALAD WITH LAYERS 
1 head lettuce
1/2 c. celery
1/2 c. carrots
1/2 lg. bell pepper
1 (8 1/2 oz.) can English peas
1 sm. tomato
2 slices pineapple, cut into bite size pieces
1 c. chopped seedless grapes
1 c. grated Cheddar cheese
2-3 c. crumbled bacon

DRESSING:

Mix together: 3-4 tbsp. sugar

Arrange first 8 ingredients in large bowl in layers, using dressing mixture on each layer. Cover tightly and refrigerate overnight. At serving time, toss the salad and add cheese and bacon. Variations: Add your favorite vegetables, fruit and croutons. Serves 8 to 10.
