SEASONED FRENCH BREAD 
1 lb. loaf French bread, cut crosswise
Seasoned spread (see below)

Take half of loaf, cut into diagonal slices. Spread seasoned butter on 1 side of each slice, re-assemble slices into loaf, wrap with aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes.

To Toast: Lay slices flat and toast under broiler.

ONION SPREAD:

1/3 c. softened butter
2 tbsp. finely chopped onion
Dash of cayenne pepper

Mix well.

GARLIC SPREAD:

1/3 c. softened butter
1/4 tsp. garlic powder

Mix well.
