1/4 c. butter
1/2 c. sugar
1 egg
Salt to taste
1 c. sour milk
1 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 rounded tsp. baking powder
1 c. cornmeal (stone ground, if available)

Put butter in 8x8 inch pan. Melt in 400 degree oven. Mix all other ingredients and then add melted butter after using it to grease pan. Bake 20 minutes.
