GRANDMAMA'S TEA CAKES 
2 c. self-rising flour
1 c. sugar
1 stick butter, softened
1 egg
1 tbsp. vanilla

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Mix all ingredients into stiff dough. Roll out on floured board to 1/8 inch thick. Cut into any shape. Use thin spatula to transfer cookies from floured board to ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in preheated oven for 6 to 8 minutes.
