12 oz. pkg. Oreo cream chocolate cookies
1 (8 oz.) pkg. pitted dates, cut up
3/4 c. water
1/4 tsp. salt
2 c. sm. marshmallows
1/2 c. chopped walnuts
1 c. whipping cream
1 tsp. vanilla

Roll cookies (reserve 1/4 cup). Spread into 6 x 10 x 1 1/2 inch casserole. Combine dates, water and salt; bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer 3 minutes. Add marshmallows. Stir until melted. Cool to room temperature, stir in nuts. Spread mixture over crumbs.

Combine whipped cream, vanilla; spread over dates. Sprinkle with reserved crumbs. Let chill overnight. Makes 8 servings.
