HOMEMADE CHILI 
10 lb. hamburger
1 c. pinto beans, mashed
3 or 4 green peppers, finely chopped
2 lb. onions, finely chopped
3 tbsp. minced garlic
2 tbsp. butter
1 tbsp. salt
1 tsp. red or black pepper
8 to 10 tbsp. chili powder
5 or 6 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce

Brown hamburger and drain well. Add mashed beans to hamburger. Sauté onions, peppers, minced garlic in butter. Add all ingredients together and simmer for 3 hours. Crock-pot works good.

Makes about 1 1/2 to 2 gallons.

This freezes well and may be halved.
