FIG JAM BERRY 
6 c. mashed fresh figs
3 c. sugar
2 pkgs. strawberry gelatin, reg. size

Cut stems from figs. Wash thoroughly. Mash to a pulp with potato masher or whip with electric mixer. Measure figs and sugar into a large pot. Add gelatin. Stir. Cook over medium heat until mixture starts to bubble. Reduce heat to low and cook for 45 minutes, stirring often to keep from sticking. Yield: 3 to 4 pints.
