10 lg. cucumbers 4 bell peppers 2 c. vinegar 2 c. sugar 2 tsp. mustard seed 8 onions 4 tsp. salt 2 tsp. turmeric 2 tsp. celery seed 1/2 tsp. pepper Garlic (opt.) Grind cucumbers, onions and peppers. Add salt. Let stand for 30 minutes; drain off juice. Mix sugar, vinegar and spices. Stir into vegetables. Cook to boiling point. Put into sterile jars and seal. Process in water bath for 10 minutes, for longer shelf life. |
