SEED COOKIES 
2 c. Crisco, butter, or a combination
2 c. sugar
6 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
7 c. flour
6 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. toasted sesame seeds
1 egg for glaze

Melt Crisco and let cool. Add sugar and beaten eggs; stir in vanilla. Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together. Add flour to egg mixture one cup at a time. Roll dough, a tablespoon at a time, between hands to form rolls 6 inches long. Fold in half and twist together. Place on lightly greased cookie sheets. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 375 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
