COUNTRY SWEET POTATOES 
1 (3 1/2 c.) can sweet potatoes, in heavy syrup
1/4 c. milk
2 tbsp. brown sugar or maple syrup
3 tbsp. butter
1/8 tsp. salt
1/3 c. chopped pecans
10 lg. marshmallows, cut in half

Drain syrup from potatoes. Mash potatoes. Add milk, sugar, butter, and salt and mix well. Fold in nuts. Put in shallow greased baking dish. Top with marshmallows. Heat at 375 degrees for 15 minutes or until marshmallows brown on top. Serves 4.
