WATER CHESTNUT APPETIZERS 
2 c. whole water chestnuts, drained
bacon strips (uncooked)
1/3 c. ketchup
1/2 c. sugar
2 tbsp. soy sauce

Wrap water chestnuts with bacon strips. Fasten with toothpicks.

Bake 60 minutes at 300°F. Combine remaining ingredients to make sauce. Drain off bacon grease and cover appetizers with sauce.

Bake another 30 minutes.
