FRUIT SHEET CAKE 
1 c. butter
2 c. sugar
4 lg. eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. baking powder
2 cans cherry (or your favorite) pie filling

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan.

Cream together butter and sugar. Beat in eggs, one at a time. Stir in vanilla. Combine flour and baking powder. Blend into butter mixture. It will be very moist. Spread half of the batter into the prepared pan; top with filling. Spread remaining batter. Bake for about 55 minutes. Cool.

When ready to serve, sprinkle top with powdered (10X) sugar.
