FOOL - PROOF PIE CRUSTS | |
4 c. flour 1 3/4 c. shortening 1 tbsp. sugar 1 tsp. salt 1 tbsp. vinegar 1 egg 1/2 c. cold water Mix together first 4 ingredients. In a separate bowl, beat remaining ingredients together. Combine the 2 mixtures. Stir with a fork until mixture is moistened. With hands, mold into 4 balls. Pat down until flat. This makes 4 single crusts or 2 doubles. Roll between wax paper when preparing crust. Put in refrigerator overnight. Will keep in freezer for weeks. |
