BRANDIED FRUIT SALAD 
3 tbsp. lemon juice
3 tbsp. cold water
3 lg. apples, peeled, cored & diced
3 ripe pears, peeled, cored & diced
2 lg. oranges, peeled, separated into skinless segments
1/2 lb. fresh, pitted cherries
1/2 lb. seedless grapes
1 sm. honeydew melon, peeled & sliced
3/4 c. confectioners' sugar
1 c. white wine
1/2 c. brandy

Combine lemon juice and water. Place apples and pears in it. Stir to coat. Let stand 20 minutes. Combine cherries, oranges, grapes, melon pieces and apple mixture. Mix confectioners' sugar, wine and brandy; pour over fruit and let stand, refrigerated, overnight.
