PUMPKIN SWIRL SQUARES 
1 (16 oz.) can pumpkin
1 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. oil
3 eggs
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking soda
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened

Combine pumpkin, 1 1/2 cups of the sugar, oil, and 2 eggs, mixing until well blended. Add combined dry ingredients; mix well. Combine cream cheese and remaining sugar and egg, mixing until well blended. Spoon pumpkin mixture into greased and floured 15 x 10 x 1 inch jelly roll pan. Spoon cream cheese mixture over pumpkin batter. Cut through batter with knife several times for marble effect. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool; cut into squares. Yield: approximately 2 dozen.

Preparation Time: 25 minutes. Bake Time: 30 minutes plus cooling.
