TURKEY DRESSING | |
1 (12 oz.) pkg. corn bread mix 1 raw turkey liver 3/4 c. butter 2 c. chopped celery 1 c. chopped onion 1/2 c. chopped parsley 1 1/2 tsp. salt 1/2 tsp. sage 1 1/2 c. chopped pecans 1/2 c. chopped broth Bake corn bread according to package directions. When cool crumble in bowl. Dice liver and saute in butter 5 minutes. Add celery and onions. Stir 5 minutes more. Add liver mixture to corn bread and mix remaining ingredients. Bake 30 minutes covered at 375 degrees, uncover and bake 15 minutes more. Or use as stuffing for turkey. Stuff bird and bake recommended time. Remove from bird and serve as hot side dish. |
