RAISIN-FILLED COOKIES 
1 c. Crisco
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. evaporated milk soured with vinegar
3 1/2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder

Cream Crisco and sugar and mix in eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, salt, soda and baking powder. Blend flour and shortening gradually with sour milk. Put teaspoon batter, then filling (raisin pie filling) and 1 teaspoon batter on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
