Make sure all utensils are completely dry. (Moisture will cause hard spots in the coating.) Melt block of candy coating in a double boiler or microwave, stirring occasionally and remove from heat when almost melted. Stir until completely melted. Thoroughly stir in can of frosting and add any additional ingredients desired - nuts, marshmallow. Pour into 8 x 8 pan lined with wax paper. Let cool. Cut. Enjoy. The frosting determines the flavor of the fudge. Use creamy type, not whipped. If frosting is chocolate, use dark coating. If frosting is light, use white candy coating.
