BASIC FRUIT CRISP 
2/3 c. flour
1/2 c. oatmeal
1/4 c. chopped nuts
3 tbsp. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 c. butter
1 can pie filling (21 oz.) any flavor

1. Combine flour, oatmeal, nuts, brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.

2. Cut in butter. Mixture should be crumbly.

3. Spread 1/2 of mixture on the bottom of an 8 x 8 inch glass pan.

4. Spoon in the pie filling.

5. Sprinkle the remaining flour mixture on the top.

6. Cook in the microwave. High power, 9-11 minutes until hot and bubbly. Cool slightly and serve.

To make your own pie filling:

1 c. juice
2 c. fruit
2 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. sugar

Boil the ingredients until thickened. Fruit can be added after the ingredients are boiled if you like.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
