COCONUT POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
2/3 c. Crisco
3 c. sifted flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sweet milk
5 eggs
1 c. flake coconut
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Cream butter, sugar and Crisco. Add eggs, 1 at a time. Sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add to above mixture alternating with milk. Stir in coconut and vanilla. Bake 1 1/2 hours at 325 degrees.
