STRAWBERRY ICE CREAM 
5 c. whole milk, scalded
2 1/2 c. sugar
6 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. salt

Add mixture of sugar, flour and salt to scalded milk. Cook 10 minutes. Beat 6 eggs and add to custard. Cook 1 minute. Chill.

Put in freezer along with 4 cups half & half, 4 teaspoons vanilla, 2 teaspoons red food coloring and 1 pint strawberries. Use either fresh or frozen berries. Makes 1 gallon.
