BUTTER CRUMB APPLE PIE 
6-8 tart apples
2 tbsp. butter
3 tbsp. water
2/3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cinnamon

Slice apples into pie plate using no bottom crust. Sprinkle sugar over the apples and dot with butter. Then sprinkle with cinnamon and water.

CRUMBS:

1 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar

Mix all ingredients together with fork until crumbs are formed. Spread over apples and bake at 380 degrees 1 hour or until brown. Cut like serving a piece of pie after cooling. Serves 6-8.
