BUTTERMILK BISCUITS 
4 c. self-rising flour
2/3 c. shortening
1 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
2 c. buttermilk

Mix all ingredients well. Shape biscuit with hands or roll dough and cut with biscuit cutter. Place biscuits on baking sheet and brush top of biscuits with butter. Bake in preheated oven at 400 degrees until brown. Makes 24.
