DILL PICKLES 
Cucumbers
Sprig of dill

1/8 tsp. powdered alum
1 black peppercorn
1/2 tsp. mustard seed
1 tbsp. regular salt
1/2 c. cider vinegar
1 slice onion at top and bottom of jar

Fill balance of each jar with cold water. Seal tightly and place in water bath. Start water bath with cold water. When water boils, take out jars and turn lids tight, if necessary.
