3 qts. water 2 1/2 c. vinegar 1/2 c. canning salt 2/3 c. sugar Boil together. This brine is enough for 7 quarts. Cloves Garlic Dill Mustard seed Onions Cucumbers Into each prepared jar put 2 peppercorns, 2 cloves, a bit of garlic, 1/4 teaspoon mustard seed and dill. Plus 1/2 small onion. Pack in cucumbers and cover with brine. Water bath only until colors of cucumbers change. Mild and different! Water bath: Hot water to cover sealed jars. |
