1 c. sour pie cherries, drained
1 c. sugar
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tbsp. melted butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla

Mix sugar and melted butter. Beat in egg. Sift soda and flour together. Add flour and cherries to mixture. Beat until cherries are mashed up. Pour in greased pan and bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve with hot sauce.

If cake is cold, warm it and pour hot sauce over cake. Top with whipped cream.

SAUCE:

3/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. flour
Juice from cherries (3/4 c.)
2 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. vanilla
