CHOCOLATE BROWNIE PIE 
Pastry for 9 inch one crust pie
2 sq. (1 oz. each) unsweetened chocolate
2 tbsp. butter
3 eggs
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. dark corn syrup
1 c. pecans halves

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Prepare pastry. Heat chocolate and butter over low heat until melted; cool. Beat chocolate mixture, eggs, sugar and corn syrup with hand beater. Stir in pecans. Pour into pastry-lined pie plate. Bake just until set, 40 to 50 minutes. Serve with sweetened whipped cream if desired.
