PUNCH BOWL CAKE 
1 box yellow cake mix
2 lg. boxes instant vanilla pudding (make with 5 c. milk)
3 cans cherry pie filling
5 lg. or 7 sm. bananas
1 lg. can crushed pineapple, drained
2 cartons Cool Whip
Pecans for decorations
Maraschino cherries

Bake cake in a sheet pan. Cut in half. Cut into small pieces. Layer in punch bowl as follows: 1st layer - 1/2 of cake pieces in bowl; 2nd layer - pour 1/2 of pudding in bowl; 3rd layer - pour in 1 1/2 cans cherry pie filling; 4th layer - add 1/2 of sliced bananas; 5th layer - 1/2 of crushed pineapple.

Cover with Cool Whip, then start layering again and end with Cool Whip. Top with 1 cup broken pecans and maraschino cherries, cut into small pieces. Looks pretty in clear glass punch bowl.
