GERMAN POTATO SALAD 
6 lg. potatoes
1/2 c. bacon
2 tbsp. grease saved from bacon
3/4 tbsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/4 c. vinegar
1/2 c. mayonnaise

Cook potatoes with skins. Let cool and peel. Dice fresh medium onion. Slice potatoes, dice bacon; alternate layers in large bowl. Sprinkle celery seed with layers. Add salt, sugar, vinegar, mayonnaise to the bacon grease and bring to boil. Pour hot over potatoes.
