BLONDE BROWNIES 
1/3 c. butter, softened
1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 to 1 c. semi-sweet chocolate morsels
1/2 c. chopped pecans

Cream butter; gradually add brown sugar, beating well. Add egg and vanilla; beat well.

Combine flour, soda, salt; add to creamed mixture and mix well. Stir in chocolate morsels and pecans. Spread mixture in a greased 12 x 17 1/2 x 1 1/2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool and cut into squares. Yields about 3 dozen.
