SWISS STEAK | |
6 beef cube steaks 1/4 c. seasoned flour 1 1/2 c. thinly sliced onion 2 tbsp. oil 2 1/2 c. beef stock 1 1/2 c. canned chopped tomato 1 1/2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 3 tbsp. flour 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. pepper Dredge steaks in seasoned flour and brown on both sides in hot oil. Arrange in baking pan. Saute onion in oil until tender. Add remaining ingredients, blend well, and bring to boil, stirring often. Pour over steaks. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 1/2 hour. Uncover and bake 1/2 to 1 hour longer until tender. |
