4 beef cube steaks, cut in strips 1 med. onion, sliced 2 tbsp. butter 2 c. water 1 (4 oz.) can mushroom pieces, drained 1 envelope beef-mushroom flavored dry soup mix 1 med. tomato, chopped 1/4 c. dry red wine In a skillet, quickly cook steak strips and onion in butter until tender. Combine water and soup mix, pour over steak strips. Add mushrooms and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Stir in chopped tomatoes and wine; heat through. Serve over hot cooked noodles. Serves 4 to 6. |
