1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. shortening (Crisco, butter)
1 c. vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
4 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda

Cream sugars, shortening and oil. Add eggs and vanilla (beat well). Sift dry ingredients together. Add to first mixture (blend good). Roll into balls and put on ungreased sheet. Flatten with glass or fork. Bake approximately 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
