FRESH FRUIT COBBLER 
3 c. fresh fruit, cut up
2 tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. butter
1 c. sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/3 c. shortening
2/3 c. sugar
3 tbsp. milk
1 egg
2 tbsp. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt

Arrange fruit in pan and sprinkle with a mixture of flour, sugar and cinnamon. Dot with butter. Sift the next dry ingredients into a bowl. Add shortening, milk and egg. Stir with a fork until thoroughly blended. Drop from a spoon over the fruit. If desired, dough may be spread with a spatula to cover surface of fruit. Serve warm with cream. Bake 25-30 minutes at 350 degrees.
