BEAN SOUP 
1 ham bone
1 med. onion, diced
2 cans pork and beans
1/2 c. catsup
1 can whole tomatoes
1 c. cubed potatoes

Boil ham bone slowly in 5 quarts of water. Add a few mixed spices in a cheesecloth bag, simmer for about 1/2 hour. Add onion, pork and beans, potatoes, catsup and tomatoes. Simmer for about 1 1/2 hours more. Salt may be added to taste.
