COETTIS HOMEMADE ICE CREAM 
8 c. whole or 2% milk
4 rennet tablets, mashed & dissolved in 1/2 c. cold water

Heat this in large saucepan to barely lukewarm. Mix in:

3 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt, less if desired

Cool milk and sugar mixture to room temperature. Will thicken like custard. Pour in cool freezer can. Fill to freezer line with 8 more cups thin cream or whipping cream or milk. However rich you want. Add 8 teaspoons pure vanilla. Let set, mixture custards and freezer with 6 parts crushed ice and 1 part ice cream salt.
