1 c. butter
1/8 tsp. salt
1/4 c. powdered sugar
2 c. flour
1 c. chopped pecans

Cream butter, add salt, sugar and cream well. Add flour and blend. Stir in pecans. Shape into balls and place on cookie sheet and flatten slightly. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Watch carefully so they don't get too brown. Frost with tinted powdered sugar frosting.

TINTED POWDERED SUGAR FROSTING:

1 1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 tbsp. butter
2 tbsp. hot water
Vanilla
Food coloring

Mix together well; tint as desired. Frost cookies.
