STUFFED CABBAGE 
1 head cabbage
1-2 lbs. ground beef
1/2 lb. ground pork
1 c. uncooked rice
1 or 2 cloves garlic, chopped
Pepper & salt to taste
1 qt. sauerkraut

Steam cabbage in water until leaves are soft, 5 to 10 minutes. Remove core and take off leaves. Mix beef, pork, rice, garlic salt and pepper. Put enough mixture on cabbage leaves and roll up. Push ends into meat filling. To secure cabbage rolls, put half sauerkraut on bottom of pan, then cabbage rolls, then the rest of sauerkraut on top. Fill pan with water even with top of sauerkraut. Cook on top of stove, 2 hours or until rice is done.
