POTATO MEAT BURGERS 
1/2 c. potato flakes
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 c. finely chopped onion
2 tsp. chopped green pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 egg, beaten
Cooking fat or oil
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 can water

Add potato flakes, beef, onions, green pepper and salt to the beaten egg. Shape the mixture into flat cakes. Heat a little cooking fat in a fry pan and brown the cake on medium heat. Pour off most of the fat. Add tomato sauce and water and simmer the meat covered about 20-30 minutes, until the meat is done. Serve the cakes with the sauce spooned over them.
