MICROWAVE STEAMED RICE 
1 c. long grain rice
2 c. water
1 tbsp. butter
1/2 tsp. salt

Combine all ingredients in 3 quart casserole. Cover and microwave to boiling, 7 to 8 1/2 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes; stir. Cover and microwave until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, 3 to 5 minutes. Let stand 5 minutes. 4 servings.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
