PIEROGIES IN A CASSEROLE 
3/4 lg. (16 oz.) bag wide noodles
4 med. onions, diced
5 to 6 lg. potatoes
1 lb. American cheese
1 stick butter

Grease casserole with butter. Cook noodles. Combine onions and stir of butter, saute until soft. Boil potatoes (no salt). Mash.

Put 1/2 of the noodles in bottom of the casserole dish, then 1/2 of the mashed potatoes, then the butter and onions. Cover with American cheese, overlapping slightly. Then form second layer of noodles, potatoes and cheese. Dot with butter and bake, covered. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
