HOLIDAY BUTTER COOKIES 
2 2/3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt

Sift together. Cream: 1 c. butter

Blend in: 2 tsp. vanilla

Add dry ingredients, mix well. Chill dough at least 1 hour, roll out on floured surface to 1/8 inch thickness. Cut with floured cutter. Place on ungreased cookie sheets. Decorate with colored sugar before baking. Bake at 375 degrees for 7 to 10 minutes. Makes about 6 dozen. THESE ARE NEVER FAIL COOKIES.
